LIVING WILLOW LAND ART

In this workshop, we’ll build a living willow dome together from the ground up. We’ll plant fresh willow branches directly into the earth, bend and weave them together, and slowly turn a bundle of sticks into a living space you can actually step inside. Over time, the willow will root, grow leaves, and continue changing long after we’re finished. The structure will grow new willow rods, that can be harvested for basket weaving. You’ll learn the basics of building and weaving with living willow, so that you can create living structures in your own garden, but mostly it’s about getting your hands dirty, creating something together, and experiencing the slightly magical feeling of building something that’s still alive. We will serve lunch, snacks and drinks. EARTH WEAVERS is an ecosystem of local skill-sharing communities. We gather in circles, learn from each other and make the things we need in everyday life. Our vision is to create a more handmade, local and sustainable world. The ECOSYSTEM is our platform to organize workshops, create communities and share ressources.
