Cancellation, refunds and responsibility

If a workshop is called off, you get the whole amount back. It happens on its own, back to the card you paid with, and we write to you the same day.

If you paid in instalments, every instalment comes back.

Cancel at least seven days before, and you get the whole amount back. Write to the organiser, or use the link in your confirmation.

After that we cannot send the money back. The materials are bought, the food is ordered, and the place can rarely be filled again in time. Cancel anyway — then whoever is holding the day knows how many you are.

The money is sent back by hand and not on its own, so it may take a couple of days.

The seven days apply to everything you pay for through EARTH WEAVERS — including a workshop with a weaver or a studio, where the agreement is with them and not with the association.

You should not have to read the small print for every workshop. The rule is the house's.

If the date, the time or the place is changed, you can say no and get the whole amount back — even with less than seven days to go.

If you do not turn up and have not cancelled, the place has been used and the amount stays with us. If something urgent happens, write to us anyway. We are people.

Membership is paid monthly and can be cancelled at any time. It runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not refund a month already begun.

When you trade in the market, you trade directly with another person or another business. The association is not a party to the trade and cannot give you your money back.

If you buy from a business, you have the rights the law gives you. If you buy from a private person, the agreement you made between you is what holds. Agree on returns and postage before the money changes hands.

You take part at your own risk. We work with knives, fire, hot water, plants and dyes, and there are things a body can react to.

Whoever holds the workshop makes sure it can be done safely and says what to watch out for. You tell us about allergies, pregnancy, illness or anything else we ought to know — ideally before the day.

If children come along, they are the responsibility of the adult who brought them.

The association does not hold insurance covering participants. If you or your belongings are damaged, it is your own accident or contents insurance that applies — as when you are a guest in someone's home.

We are responsible for what we get wrong ourselves.
